We analyzed the association between specific characteristics and occurrence of SSI. also evaluated effects other known risk factors in patients undergoing plastic surgery SSIs.Methods: retrospectively reviewed medical charts 531 who underwent with placement January 2017 2022. For drains, early removal did not decrease incidence. markedly high when removed 6 days. Furthermore, bacterial culture results tended differ before frequently group. Among SSIs, smoking, albumin concentration, wound status confirmed as significant. Conclusion: Drain time a significant factor SSIs. With it important assess whether occurs at beginning A probability retrograde infection drains. Closed should be within days considered
